Current MVL Research

The MVL's goal is to better understand the physiological and cognitive limitations of pilots and passengers of aircraft and spacecraft, and to optimize overall human-vehicle or human-robot system effectiveness and safety. Our research is interdisciplinary, utilizing techniques from:

  • biomechanics
  • human factors
  • signal processing
  • manual and supervisory control
  • cognitive psychology
  • artificial intelligence
  • sensory-motor physiology
  • estimation
  • biostatistics.
